New to Lakeridge? Did you know that due to privacy laws (FERPA), the district is not allowed to give any contact information out to the PTA until 5 days after school has started? So, unfortunately, a lot of the new families get lost over the summer as we are not allowed to get your information. We can, however, contact you if you sign up for the email list.

Submit to The ROAR

Have an announcement, event, resource, or PTA update to share with the Lakeridge community? Please submit it through our Communications Request Form.

 

The form helps our volunteer Communications team gather everything we need in one place and keep submissions organized and scheduled.

 

For a ROAR submission, please be ready to provide:

  • A subject line or heading
  • Your body copy
    • Lakeridge/PTA submissions: a brief paragraph or bullet points
    • Community submissions: 1–2 descriptive sentences
  • Any relevant links or website URLs
  • An image or photo, if applicable — JPG or PNG preferred; PDF accepted
  • The date you’d like the submission to run through

You do not need to resubmit the same announcement for each issue. We’ll generally continue including it through the event or end date you provide. Community submissions may run fewer times depending on space.

 

We aim to publish the ROAR every two weeks. ROAR publication dates are target dates and may shift around school breaks, holidays, or other scheduling needs. Please submit your content as early as possible. 

 

The same form can also be used for monthly thank-yous, standalone email requests, and corrections to previous submissions. Standalone emails are reserved for larger events or urgent messages and are sent at the discretion of the PTA board.

If you don’t want your child’s photo published, please turn in the “Notification of Rights under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act” form found in the E Parent Pack.  A copy of this is also available in the Lakeridge Office.
